Last fall, I ventured on my first camping trip. We packed up our car with our little tent, some food, and hiking supplies. We spent two nights hunkered down in the woods. At night, lying in my warm sleeping bag, I calmly listen to the outdoor sounds of nature– cicadas humming, crickets chirping, while all-along the fireflies flash their magical nightly dance. I felt truly comforted and calmed by the sounds of nature right next to me. In the morning, a single owl hoots to signal the arrival of dawn.
